Rolling Creek 2 Project Completed!
There were several major benefits of the Rolling Creek 2 project both short and long term. In the immediate sense, the risk of a devastating wildfire was reduced on the property itself and in the surrounding neighborhood and broader forest landscape. The project will also help protect the Upper South Platte Watershed.

JCD to Lead $13.4 Million RCPP Project
In a groundbreaking move, the Jefferson Conservation District (JCD) is set to lead a monumental $13.4 million project aimed at minimizing the devastating impact of wildfires and flooding along Colorado's Northern Front Range. This ambitious undertaking, covering 4,000 acres of private lands, focuses on the strategic removal of trees to reduce the risk of wildfires, a menace exacerbated by the abundance of forest biomass.

Together, with the generous support of the Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB) through their Wildfire Ready Watersheds (WRW) initiative, and with matching funds from Denver Water and Aurora Water, we are thrilled to announce the initiation of the North Fork of the Upper South Platte Wildfire Ready Action Plan (North Fork WRAP).
